Casa Badillo is located in the medieval quarter of Vejer near the church on a quiet pedestrian street. The heart of the house is large luminous central courtyard with a retractable roof ideal for al fresco dining at any time of the year. Around it, on the upper floors, there are a total of three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a double room with a bathroom, a family room with a double bed and a separate room with a single bed and bathroom. The core of Casa Badillo is a central patio with an open plan luminous kitchen-dining room sitting under a huge retractable skylight (electrically operated) that occupies the entire roof so that natural light invades the entire space. There is a table for twelve next to a pellet burning fireplace.
The kitchen is large, L-shaped and has an oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The room is completed with a large table for work or study, next to a window that looks out over the cobbled street. On this ground floor there is also a flag stoned entrance hall and a double bedroom with a bathroom and shower, wardrobe and window.
The second floor is divided in to two distinct areas accesible from separate flights of stairs. The right hand staircase leads to a double bedroom, with a ceiling fan and window to the outside. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, window and beams on the ceiling which gives a special warmth. There is a second bedroom in this area with two single beds, a work or study space, wardrobe and two windows that look over the courtyard receiving natural light directly from the skylight. It also has a bathroom with a window to the outside, wooden beams on the ceiling, a large shower tray and direct access to the roof terrace.
From the left hand staircase you are taken to a double bedroom with a balcony to the street, a double bed and next to it a single room with a wardrobe, a window to the street, a rocking chair and a bathroom with a shower. On this floor there is also another double room, with a central window to the street, armchair and a bathroom with shower.
The last room is a living room which can be accessed by going down a short flight of steps. Two comfortable sofas sofas, a divan and a rocking chair complete the space. There are two windows overlooking the street.
The roof terrace is is accesible from both sides of the house via two independent staircases. This large terrace is spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing in the sun. It has a large elongated table ideal for summer lunches or dinners outdoors, a sun lounger and a chill out area with cushions.
Casa Badillo is located in the heart of othe old town of Vejer on a pedestrian street in a picturesque neighborhood of cobblestoned streets and whitewashed houses. This is a quiet area with Vejer’s gothic-mudejar church just 50 metres away. A short walk leads to the palm filled Plaza de España with its bars and restaurants. The locals are generally older, friendly and like to chat with visitors.
Access to the house by car is possible but complicated and often closed in the summer. The nearest parking (street parking or covered car park) is about 200 meters from the house. If necessary, we can deliver your luggage to the house. When driving you should bear in mind that most of the streets in the old town of Vejer are very narrow.
